A new immersive cellar door experience for Sanguine Estate

Sanguine Estate is set to bolster its epicurean experiences for visitors, thanks to support from the Victorian Government’s Regional Tourism Investment Fund.

Situated in Heathcote, within the pristine Goldfields region of Victoria, Sanguine Estate has been growing and cultivating 65 acres of award-winning shiraz since 1997.

Works at the family-owned vineyard are already underway to deliver an Epicurean Provincial Immersive Cellar (EPIC) experience, with construction expected to be complete by mid-2024.

The development will include a brand-new space overlooking Sanguine Estate’s beautiful vineyard and will play host to a wide range of food and wine tastings for visitors, showcasing the very best the local produce has to offer.

The state-of-the-art precinct will also be home to education programs which will take guests through every step of its world class wine making process.

The immersive new space will be able to cater for up to 200 guests for special events and attract up to an additional 400 visitors per month to the winery within the first 12 months after completion.

The project will also provide a positive boost to the economy and local businesses, as it will encourage people to visit and stay in the region for longer.

Sanguine Estate’s current cellar door is already a popular stop for visitors, with locals already looking forward to the new project opening its doors.

Tourism is an important industry for the Goldfields region, with approximately 8.1 million visitors spending an estimated $1.4 billion in the region in 2019.

The Regional Tourism Investment Fund is helping entice more visitors to Victoria’s regions, driving private investment and accelerating the recovery of the tourism sector.
