Industry engagement

To build the mRNA industry in Victoria, mRNA Victoria collaborates with partners across the ecosystem including research institutes, start-ups, venture capitalists, industry bodies and established industry players.

Australian Centre for AI in Medical Innovation (ACAMI)

mRNA Victoria has partnered with La Trobe University to launch the Australian Centre for AI in Medical Innovation, ACAMI.

ACAMI brings together world-leading experts in artificial intelligence and medical research to change the way we diagnose and treat cancer, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular disease.

Researchers at the centre will use artificial intelligence to advance medical research, develop workforce capabilities and improve clinical trials – uncovering new treatments, vaccines and immunotherapies for cancers, diseases and viruses.

Combining La Trobe’s artificial intelligence researchers with existing medical research capabilities, ACAMI works with collaboration partners like the Olivia Newton John Cancer Research Centre to develop new diagnostic tools and treatment options for patients.

BioMelbourne Network

mRNA Victoria has partnered with BioMelbourne Network to deliver a sold-out series of mRNA lectures to the local industry.

Topics covered in the lecture series includes the Future Potential of the mRNA Platform, Clinical Trials, and how mRNA technology can better prepare the global community for a future pandemic.

Recordings of mRNA Victoria’s lectures can be found on the BioMelbourne Network website.
