$3.75 million boost for Victorian startups

We’re backing Victoria’s startup ecosystem with a $3.75 million investment delivered by LaunchVic, Victoria's startup agency.

Announced at the 2025 Victorian Startup Gala, we’re providing support right across the startup sector and investing in:

• venture capital (VC) funds
• universities
• community events.

As part of LaunchVic’s new investment, its VC Support Program is delivering $2.1 million to 7 new VC funds to set up in Victoria:

• Advance VC
• Boson Ventures
• FundBase
• Tidal Ventures
• Triple Bubble
• Scale
• Unlock Capital.

LaunchVic is also fostering student entrepreneurship, with $1.45 million in grants awarded to the following universities:

• Deakin University
• Federation University
• LaTrobe University
• Australian Catholic University.

These grants will deliver pre-accelerator programs at university campuses. This will help students and aspiring entrepreneurs to begin their startup journey.

The Aussie Founders Club is receiving a $200,000 grant to scale up its founder events series and will provide more than 60 community events over 3 years.

These investments build on our breadth of supports for startups, including through Breakthrough Victoria and the Cremorne Digital Hub. They provide support for every level of the startup ecosystem, from building a strong grassroots community right up to strengthening the venture capital landscape.
