Introduction
Creative Victoria is dedicated to growing and strengthening Victoria’s creative industries, investing in ideas and talent, creative and cultural organisations, and innovative events and projects across the state.
The creative industries encompass disciplines as diverse as games development and graphic design; fashion and film-making; performance and publishing; music and museums; comedy and craft. They include activities that are commercially driven and community-based, experimental and export ready, and everything in between.
Collectively, in 2020-21 the state’s creative industries contributed $34.4 billion to Victoria (or 7.3% of the total Victorian economy) and contributed immeasurably more in terms of social and cultural value.
