ACE scholarships for teaching in adult and community education
Scholarships are now available to prospective and existing Learn Local teachers.
Foundation skills like language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills are vital. They give people confidence to take part at work and in the community.
However, one in 3 Victorians has a low level of literacy that makes it difficult to find and keep work.
Victoria needs more teachers who can help people develop their foundation skills.
The ACE Scholarships Program helps people build a rewarding career as an educator for adults.
The new scholarships program offers free specialist training, upskilling and support. It has flexible entry points and pathways.
Funding is for course fees and other expenses such as books, internet and the cost of living.
Scholarships range from $500 to $20,000. They cover courses and qualifications offered online and at:
- Park Orchards Community House & Learning Centre
- Chisholm Institute
- Charles Sturt University
- Victoria University.
See the ACE Scholarships Program guidelines for details, including the approved courses list.
Select a course that suits your needs. Then contact the relevant education provider to find out more.
Scholarship places are limited, so apply soon.
This is a joint initiative from the Australian and Victorian Governments.
