BMX riders and cyclists across northern Victoria are now enjoying world-class facilities at the Shepparton BMX Track and Cycling Precinct.

The revamped facility has already hosted more than 700 of Australia’s top BMX racers at the 2025 AusCycling BMX Racing National Series – Rounds 1 and 2, and will welcome the 2026 GWM BMX Racing National Championships in April next year.

Completed upgrades include:

  • a new 2-storey multi-use events pavilion
  • enhancements to the BMX track and 8 metre and 5 metre start hills
  • upgraded lighting at the cycling velodrome.

The cycling velodrome supported the opening event for the Victorian State Christmas Track Carnival Series in December 2024.

These events brought thousands of competitors, supporters and fans to Shepparton, giving the region a major economic boost.

With a reputation as one of the best facilities in Australia, the upgraded Shepparton BMX Track and Cycling Precinct will continue to foster the next generation of champion riders and bring visitors from right across the country.

This project was supported through the Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
