Boosting regional tourism with major accommodation upgrades across Victoria

The Victorian Government is backing exciting new tourism infrastructure projects across regional Victoria to create more reasons for visitors to eat, stay and play.

The accommodation upgrades are supported by the most recent round of the Regional Tourism Investment Fund, part of the $170 million Regional Tourism and Events Fund.

They will deliver modern, accessible, and sustainable accommodation or facility upgrades that strengthen Victoria’s visitor economy, create local jobs, and ensure regional communities thrive.

LOAM Hotel and Wellness Centre, Stawell

A new 4-star LOAM Hotel and Wellness Centre in Stawell will be the largest hotel in the Grampians region, featuring:

  • 77 studio-style rooms, including 4 fully accessible rooms
  • wellness studio
  • hydrothermal room with sauna and ice baths
  • onsite electric vehicle chargers
  • a solar energy system.

Nhill Caravan Park, Nhill

Visitors to Nhill Caravan Park can enjoy 3 new self-contained, 1-bedroom cabins.

These modern lodgings have enhanced comfort and support the park’s commitment to high-quality regional tourism.

The Royal Daylesford Hotel, Daylesford

The Royal Daylesford Hotel is transforming its adjoining guest house into boutique accommodation. The project will deliver:

  • 9 upgraded guest rooms, including 2 that are fully accessible
  • sustainable features, including solar power and EV charging stations
  • an enhanced façade and internal layout.

This project blends heritage charm with modern sustainability.

Eureka Stockdale Memorial Park, Ballarat

Eight new cabins will be installed at Eureka Stockdale Memorial Park that are forecasted to boost visitation by 20%, including:

  • 4 duplexes
  • 3 villa cabins
  • 1 fully accessible 2-bedroom cabin.

Each cabin will feature double-glazed windows, upgraded insulation, energy-efficient lighting, and eco-friendly appliances, delivering sustainable comfort for visitors.

All Seasons Holiday Park, Mildura

The All Seasons Holiday Park is receiving major accommodation and accessibility upgrades, including:

  • refurbishment of 25 cabins, including 3 accessible cabins
  • upgraded amenities block and BBQ area
  • 4 accessible caravan ensuites
  • accessibility upgrades across all public areas.

This investment will improve visitor experience, create local jobs, and support year-round tourism in Mildura.

These new projects are a key part of the Experience Victoria 2033 strategic plan. The plan focuses on First Peoples-led experiences, wellness, arts and culture, food and drink, and nature.

Since 2021, investment in tourism infrastructure has supported more than 200 projects across regional and rural Victoria, creating thousands of jobs and ensuring Victoria remains a must-visit destination.

Tourism is vital to Victoria’s economy. In the year ending March 2026, 119.8 million visitors spent $48.6 billion and stayed 170.1 million nights.
