Club redevelopment buoys Lake Eildon charm

Goughs Bay Boat Sport and Recreation Club on Lake Eildon has transformed the club’s lakeside bistro, dining and function areas. This is thanks to support from our Regional Tourism Investment Fund.

The club is located between Mansfield and Eildon in Victoria’s High Country. Lake Eildon is one of Victoria’s most recognisable and popular recreational lakes.

The new spaces will enhance the visitor experience. This will:

• increase the club’s capacity by 20%
• boost the club’s ability to host bigger events
• serve as a community hub for the Goughs Bay area.

As part of the redevelopment works there has also been an increase in car parking, including:

• improvements to all-abilities access
• upgraded steps from the club to the foreshore
• improved access to the boat ramp.

The club’s improvement aligns with the broader Lake Eildon Masterplan. The plan aims to increase the visitor economy and create more local jobs for the region.
