Published: 1 June 2026
The Western Pathways Program is an inclusive new employment initiative in Melbourne’s west.
The program provides tailored support for young people who are experiencing unemployment.
This includes people who are:
- aged 15 to 24
- from multicultural communities
- at risk of involvement, or have previously been involved, with the justice system.
Participants can access:
- mentoring and coaching
- skills assessments
- support with training and tickets
- resume and interview preparation
- job placement and support
- referrals to health and housing services.
This support can help people to get job-ready, find work and participate in their community.
Jesuit Social Services is delivering the program in partnership with Opendoor. Services are available in St Albans, Sunshine and Melton.
We are investing $3.2 million in the Western Pathways Program.
