Cutting-edge technology company SKUTOPIA expands in Victoria
SKUTOPIA has officially opened its new $50 million National Distribution Centre in Altona.
The highly automated facility will house more than 1,000 robots, powered by the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
This will help local online retailers access faster, smarter and lower-emission warehousing and delivery services.
The expansion will also create new jobs across:
- software engineering
- artificial intelligence
- robotics
- information and communications technology
- operations
- advanced logistics.
SKUTOPIA's technology uses AI to help businesses deliver orders faster and more efficiently by:
- predicting demand,

Its robotic fulfilment model cuts the carbon footprint of each order by 75% compared with traditional warehousing. It's supporting more efficient, lower emissions supply chains.
The new National Distribution Centre will form part of SKUTOPIA's expanding Australian network. This is alongside its robotic fulfilment operations in Sydney and planned future expansion across the country.
The Victorian Industry Policy and the $150 million Victorian Investment Fund are helping create jobs and grow the economy by:
- supporting business investment in priority sectors
