Hear from Dandenong South-based recreational boat manufacturer Bar Crusher which gained valuable Industry 4.0 skills in round one of the Digital Jobs Program.

Thanks to their new skills, Bar Crusher’s machine operator now inputs technical drawings into factory machinery, including:

  • lasers
  • presses
  • routers.

This removes the need for design team coordination and speeds up production.

Round 2 of the $4.25 million Digital Jobs Program is now open. The program offers fully subsidised training in the latest digital skills.

The program equips workers and leaders with skills in:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) / machine learning
  • Building Information Modelling
  • Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing
  • Industry 4.0
  • Agile project management and more.

Since 2021, we have invested more than $60 million in the Digital Jobs program and delivered new skills to more than 6,200 Victorian workers.
