Expo and summit support next generation of tourism professionals

The 2025 Choose Tourism Careers Expo and Emerging Tourism Leaders Summit have helped more Victorians establish careers in tourism.

Both events were held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in early September.

More than 800 job seekers attended the Victorian Tourism Industry Council’s Choose Tourism Expo.

They learned about the jobs on offer from 48 exhibitors from across Victoria’s tourism sector.

At the Young Tourism Network's Emerging Tourism Leaders Summit more than 160 professionals networked and learnt more about the sector.

Both events will support continued jobs growth throughout the Victorian visitor economy.

The Choose Tourism Careers Expo connected job seekers directly with tourism operators looking to attract new staff.

The Emerging Tourism Leaders Summit allowed professionals to network and discuss future career opportunities.

Tourism Research Australia statistics show 7% of all Victorian jobs in 2023-24 were in the tourism industry.

Both the Choose Tourism Expo and Emerging Tourism Leaders Summit were funded through our Regional Tourism Industry Development Program.
