Fortune favours the Bald Hill Activation Project
The summit sculpture trail at Bacchus Marsh is now complete. These works form stage 3 of the Bald Hill Activation Project and connects the previous 2 stages of the 1,000+ Steps and the All-Abilities Trail at Telford Park.
The project has created new spaces for exercise and transformed Bald Hill into a key recreational area for the community.
Stage 3 of the project delivered:
- Over 2km of all abilities track at Bald Hill summit
- Viewing points of the surrounding landscapes
- Sculpture trail including 6 thematically designed sculptures spread along the track
- Connection to 1000+ steps
- Summit amenities and facilities including a gathering area with shelter, tables, seating, wayfinding, interpretive signage and accessible toilets
- Formal carpark and access via Swans Road.
The project takes advantage of the stunning 360-degree panoramic views. It's expected to become a major visitor attraction for Bacchus Marsh.
The third stage of the Bald Hill Activation Project was made possible with funding from the Victorian Government and Moorabool Shire Council.
Located in Victoria’s Central Highlands, Moorabool Shire is one of the fastest growing areas in Victoria. Its tourism offerings include hiking, camping and national parks.
