From Pub to Pod at the Woodside Hotel

Visitors to Gippsland can now extend their stay at the much-loved Woodside Beach Hotel, thanks to new pod-style accommodation.

Guests can now book one of 3 new pods, supported by the Regional Tourism Investment Fund. Located near the stunning Ninety Mile Beach, the pods offer a cozy and modern way to experience the classic Aussie pub atmosphere.

The project delivered:

• three pod-style rooms with all the essentials for a comfortable stay
• including one fully accessible pod for inclusive stays
• an event space that can accommodate up to 100 people.

The accommodation will offer guests optional welcome packs full of goods sourced from local farmers and suppliers. Showcasing the region’s best growers and giving visitors a true taste of Gippsland.

The hotel’s new event space, opened in August 2022, can host up to 100 people. In its first year, it welcomed 138 events and over 4,300 attendees.

Upgrades included:

• new windows, doors, and flooring
• indoor and outdoor seating
• stage with modern AV system.

Founded in 1849, the Woodside Beach Hotel has long been a pillar of the community. The new additions are expected to bring in over $300,000 in visitor spend per year, boosting the local economy and creating jobs.

The event space and accommodation pods are a huge drawcard for the venue which welcomes local events like the annual music festival and fishing tournament.
