Helping Victorian workers build AI skills through the Skills Solutions Partnerships program

The Skills Solutions Partnerships (SSP) program is helping more Victorian workers build practical skills in artificial intelligence (AI).

The program brings industry and training providers together to create courses that meet current workforce needs and address skills shortages.

Round 3 is funding 4 projects, with a total investment of $1.2 million:

• The Gordon TAFE will help workers in advanced manufacturing and utilities across Greater Geelong learn practical AI skills.
• Victoria University will help digital businesses in Melbourne's north-west use AI safely and effectively.
• Holmesglen Institute will provide hands-on training to help small and medium-sized businesses in Melbourne's south-east use AI in their daily work.
• RMIT University, working with CSIRO, will deliver training on fire risks linked to battery energy storage systems and data centres.

These projects support key industry sectors identified in Victoria's Economic Growth Statement. It includes advanced manufacturing, the circular economy and digital technologies.
