Improving cancer patients access to clinical trials
A new clinical trials platform will make it easier for cancer patients to access new treatments.
It's being established by global company BioNTech and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. It will improve patients access to BioNTech’s innovative clinical trials. Top cancer specialists and clinical trial teams from hospitals across Melbourne and regional Victoria are part of the platform.
We have some of the world’s best cancer survival rates. This platform could help unlock the next big breakthrough in cancer treatment.
Additionally, BioNTech, in partnership with mRNA Vic, is establishing a state-of-the-art facility in Victoria to support research and development and clinical-scale manufacturing of mRNA-based medicines.
We’ve invested more than $1 billion in health and medical research over a decade. We’re boosting research, creating jobs and supporting incredible breakthroughs in treatment and care.
