More First Peoples economic opportunities in Shepparton

A new First Peoples economic hub is unlocking opportunities in Shepparton.

The Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation has created a space where the community can access business advice and resources.

Through their Shepparton Economic Hub on High St, a dedicated service is available for help and advice.

The hub gives the community and business partners access to:

• workspaces
• meeting and training rooms
• flexible hot-desking
• collaboration spaces.

The hub was funded through the $20 million Aboriginal Economic Development Fund.

Economic and cultural hubs like this have also opened in:

• Ballarat
• Bendigo
• Morwell.

A further 4 First Peoples hubs are in development.

Traditional Owner Corporations and supporting organisations are designing each hub to meet the needs of their communities. The services and activities they offer range from tourism initiatives to mentoring, training, networking and workshops.
