More land open for business at the Ballarat West Employment Zone
We're offering businesses more opportunities to join Ballarat's thriving industrial sector.
A new round of expressions of interest is now open for land sales at the Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ).

BWEZ offers prime industrial land across more than 400 hectares.
It's creating a hub for jobs and industries while driving economic growth across Ballarat and the Central Highlands Region.
Ballarat is an ideal location for businesses looking to establish or expand their regional operations, due to:
- a strong economic growth rate
- sustained year-on-year population increases
- quick access to the Port of Melbourne via road and rail.
That's why the Victorian Government has invested more than $70 million over the last decade into the staged development of industrial land to create BWEZ.
BWEZ has already created hundreds of jobs and secured millions in private investment. This has boosted the regional supply chain and created an engine room for economic growth in the region.
Future BWEZ tenants will join a range of businesses already on site including:
- Field Air
- John Valves
- CHS Broadbent
- Kane Transport
- George Weston Foods
- Luv-A-Duck
- Westland
- Athlegen.
More than 2,000 full-time equivalent jobs are expected to be created once BWEZ is fully developed.
BWEZ continues to be delivered by Development Victoria, with Regional Development Victoria and Ballarat City Council attracting investors to the precinct.
The latest round of expressions of interest at BWEZ will be open until 3 pm AEST on Thursday, 11 December 2025.
