Sculpting a sparkling future for the King Valley

We're raising a glass to the completion of several projects across Australia's home of Prosecco, the King Valley.

The works were possible thanks to a $4 million investment from our Tourism Infrastructure Program.

The project delivered:

  • a bespoke sculpture and signage
  • the Whitfield Adventure Playground and Visitor Hub
  • shared paths between Milawa and Brown Brothers winery, and Whitfield and Gentle Annie Lane
  • designs for a wineries trail between Chrismont Wines to the Edi Cutting camping area
  • general township works, new paths, parking and streetscape improvements in Whitfield and Cheshunt.Prosecco Rd - Bubbles in the Landscape sculpture

A project highlight is the 6.4 m sculpture artwork titled 'Bubbles in the Landscape'. Victorian-based artist Alexander Knox designed the sculpture. It is a striking visual that creates a distinctive sense of arrival to the King Valley region.

These upgrades have had a positive effect on Whitfield. The town recently took home the bronze medal in the Tiny Town category at the 2025 Victorian Top Tourism Towns Awards.

Since 2021, we've invested over $11.8 million in Victoria's world-class wine industry through tourism infrastructure programs. We're backing local producers to drive economic growth in regional communities.
