Seeking Victoria’s health and medical research rising stars

The search is on for Victoria’s health and medical research rising stars! Applications are now open for the Premier’s Awards for Health and Medical Research.

This year, these prestigious awards celebrate 30 years. The awards recognise the exceptional contributions of Victoria’s early-career health and medical researchers. They shine a light on the research making a difference to the lives of Victorians.

There are 5 categories. Each winner of the category will receive $5,000 in prize money. The winner of the Premier's Excellence Award, chosen from the 5 category winners, receives an extra $15,000.

In honour of the 30th anniversary, a Legacy Award will recognise a former Premier’s Awards winner’s achievement. The recipient receives $10,000.

If you know a budding and talented health or medical researcher, make sure they apply by 5pm on Friday 21 March. This year’s finalists and winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony in late June.
