Small Business Bus marks 15 years of support

Victoria’s Small Business Bus is celebrating 15 years on the road. It has delivered expert advice and support to thousands of small businesses across the state.

Business Victoria operates the Small Business Bus. The bus travels across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria as an ‘office on wheels’. It offers free, one-on-one advice to small business operators and intenders.

Since its launch in May 2010, the bus has delivered in-person advice to more than 48,000 business owners at over 3,350 locations across the state.

Business owners can get help to:

• navigate challenges
• plan for growth
• access government programs and services.

The Small Business Bus also plays a critical role in disaster recovery efforts, delivering support to businesses affected by bushfires, floods, and droughts.

The bus supports a diverse cross-section of Victoria’s small business community;

• More than 60% of business owners it helps are women.
• Nearly 1/3 of participants identify as part of a multicultural community.

This highlights the vibrancy and diversity of Victoria’s small business community.
