Stronger employment pathways in Dandenong
Jobseekers in the Dandenong area can now access free support on their journey to employment.
The new Dandenong Pathway to Employment Hub can help people to:
- identify their experience, skills and goals
- understand different employment, training and support options
- identify their next steps
- connect with appropriate programs and services.
With this support, jobseekers can confidently build direct, practical pathways into training and employment. This is especially useful for people who experience barriers to employment, including:
- young people
- women
- older people
- people with disability
- refugees and asylum seekers.
The Dandenong Pathway to Employment Hub is inclusive and culturally safe, with a strong focus on supporting people from multicultural communities.
The hub is also working with local employers to understand workforce needs and develop more inclusive approaches to employment.
The City of Greater Dandenong is leading the hub.
The initiative is funded by the Australian Government and supported by us.
