Supporting Victoria’s Lebanese business community

News
Published: 30 September 2025

Victoria is home to almost 50,000 people of Lebanese ancestry. Our state has the second-largest Lebanese community in Australia.

We’re backing Victoria’s Lebanese small businesses by investing in the Australia New Zealand Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ANLCCI).

The ANLCCI works with the Lebanese small business community to develop and promote trade, tourism and investment opportunities. The opportunities benefit Australia, New Zealand and Lebanon.

Our funding will enable ANLCCI to deliver:

  • a series of networking events, workshops and mentoring programs
  • a business conference that will highlight the achievements of Lebanese small businesses
  • an updated digital platform to improve business promotion

Funding is being provided under the $17 million Supporting our Multicultural Traders and Precincts initiative.

Multicultural businesses are vital to Victoria's economy. They create local jobs, strengthen global connections and enrich the state’s cultural diversity.

There are more than 718,000 small businesses in Victoria. One out of 3 small business owners are born outside of Australia.
