William Angliss Institute students bake delicious hot cross buns
Talented bakery students at William Angliss Institute have delivered hundreds of hot cross buns for a charity.
At the annual William Angliss Institute Bun Day, Certificate II and Certificate III in Baking students prepared more than 3,000 buns. Many of these were delivered to CBD-based youth homelessness charity Frontyard.
Angliss is Australia’s largest specialist training provider for foods, tourism, hospitality and events. Its annual Bun Day is a real-life baking experience for students while contributing to charity.
The Victorian TAFE Hospitality Scholarships program offers $10,000 scholarships to hospitality students. These can be used for living expenses, training costs, equipment needs or other course-related expenses.
The Victorian Government scholarships are available to students at any TAFE studying
- the Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or
- Certificate IV in Hospitality
Most of these are Free TAFE courses.
