World Indigenous Business Forum comes to Melbourne

First Nations people from around the world met in Naarm last month to celebrate and strengthen Indigenous entrepreneurship and economic self-determination.

The 16th annual World Indigenous Business Forum (WIBF 2025) on 28-30 October showcased how Indigenous leadership and enterprise is thriving in Victoria and around the globe.

Victoria was proud to host and sponsor WIBF 2025, which delivered an economic boost to our state.

WIBF 2025 in Melbourne was presented by the Kinaway Chamber of Commerce. More than 500 delegates from at least 12 different countries visited Naarm to share insights on empowerment for Indigenous communities.

Recently, First Nations Victorians also showcased their strengths and talents at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

We were proud to support First Nations people to attend the Expo during Te Aratini Indigenous Peoples Week. Te Aratini showcased Indigenous cultures and their contributions to international relationships. Ten representatives from 6 Aboriginal businesses and Traditional Owner Corporations took part.

We are committed to helping Aboriginal businesses to grow. This is key for achieving economic parity for Aboriginal Victorians within a generation.
