Burgeoning augmented reality startup establishes new global HQ in Melbourne
Cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) company JigSpace is establishing its global headquarters in Melbourne, thanks to a $3 million investment from the Victorian Government.
JigSpace’s easy-to-use platform allows users to create and share interactive and immersive 3D presentations. Much like how Canva transformed 2D design, JigSpace is simplifying 3D rendering technology and making it an accessible tool for a wide range of businesses.
With the global spatial computing market projected to grow to US$519 billion by 2032, this investment by Breakthrough Victoria will drive JigSpace’s growth and support the creation of up to 60 new high skilled jobs by 2030. The company’s new HQ will be located at Melbourne Connect.
JigSpace is already a proven leader in the field and is a popular app on Apple’s flagship Vision Pro headset with more than 50,000 downloads so far.
This is a game-changer in sectors like advanced manufacturing, robotics and biotechnology where businesses can now easily present 3D renders to customers, as well as use JigSpace for technical sales demonstrations, product launches, 3D instructions, and develop training material.
The Victorian Government is backing business and job creation through a range of initiatives to increase innovation and attract investment into the state, including startup agency LaunchVic and the Victorian Government Trade and Investment Network, which is the largest network of international offices of any Australian state or territory.
