Victorians will have greater access to life-saving healthcare with a new, expanded blood reagent manufacturing facility in Melbourne's south-east.

ParagonCare has relocated and consolidated several of their operations into a new global headquarters in Mount Waverley.

The new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will support ParagonCare’s Immulab, which specialises in the production of reagent red blood cells and ancillary products for blood banking labs.

This will create up to 35 new jobs, with the potential to generate $25 million of exports over the next three years.

Not only will the new facility increase ParagonCare’s capacity to provide more blood products to international blood banking services, but it will also ensure all Victorians will get the healthcare they need, closer to home.

We’re committed to creating jobs for Victorians and fostering local health technology innovation and manufacturing.

Health technology continues to be one of the fastest growing sectors in Victoria, generating $3.5 billion worth of exports and employing over 30,000 people across the state.
