Living Local grants open for applications
Applications are now open for the Victorian Government’s $20 million Local Living Fund.
Community organisations and councils can apply for grants of up to $200,000 for infrastructure projects, while smaller investments of up to $20,000 are available for minor upgrades and maintenance to facilities, helping ensure they are functional and accessible for years to come.
Council infrastructure projects may include outdoor dining furniture and greening initiatives, splash parks and parklets, public art installations and safety and accessibility improvements.
Grants will also give community organisations a chance to buy new equipment such as kitchen appliances, laptops and audio-visual equipment to assist their important work assisting communities.
The government is giving priority to projects in areas most impacted by COVID-19 and those that support the government’s 20-minute neighbourhood principles.
The grants are being delivered via two funds:
- Our Suburbs: Living Local Fund, delivering grants to metropolitan Melbourne communities
- Our Regions: Living Local Fund, supporting projects in rural and regional Victoria
Information about the grants, including eligibility and how to apply, can be found on the Suburban Development and Regional Development Victoria websites.
Applications close Sunday 14 August 2022.
