Nominations open for the 2022 Governor of Victoria Export Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2022 Governor of Victoria Export Awards (GOVEAs), celebrating the state's most innovative exporters and recognising their success on the international stage.
Now in their forty third year, the awards are made up of 15 categories including the Global Victoria women Award and the Victorian Exporter of the Year Award.
Medical technology manufacturer Invetech was named Victorian Exporter of the Year in 2021 for achieving a 53 per cent increase in exports in 2020-21 and securing a major contract with an international diagnostics company specialising in molecular detection of infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
The company went on to win the medical technology category at the 2021 Australian Export Awards where two other 2021 GOVEA winners – AW Bell and iBuild – also took out national titles in their respective categories.
Victorian exports contribute over $45 billion to the economy and support more than 330,000 jobs across the state. Collectively, last year’s GOVEA winners export to more than 40 markets.
The Victorian Government has supported exporters through its international network of trade and investment offices, the largest network of any Australian state.
Applications for the 2022 GOVEAs close on Friday 10 June with winners to be announced in October.
