About
Jobs Victoria provides targeted support to help people overcome challenges to finding employment.
Since 2016 we have helped many people to find a job.
We work with people to help them get job-ready. This includes helping people to build skills and gain qualifications. We also work with businesses to recruit the right staff.
We focus on people who need the most support to find work.
Our partners deliver our services in several locations across Victoria. They connect people who are looking for work with local employers, training providers and support services.
Our services
Mentors
Mentors help people find a job that suits them and provide support for the first six months of a new job.
Work and Learning Centres
Work and Learning Centres help people who are experiencing homelessness or living in or waiting for public and social housing. They help by finding local training, work experience and jobs.
Building Pathways
Building Pathways help by working with local connections to get people into jobs or start training. Anyone who walks into a Hub can get support.
Youth Employment Scheme (YES)
YES is 12-month program for young people aged 15 to 29. It offers traineeships in a variety of Victorian public sector departments and agencies.
For more information, visit Traineeships.
Parkville College Pilot Program
The Parkville College Pilot Program is helping young people leaving youth justice to find jobs.
Employment Pathway Coordinators at Parkville College help connect students to employment and training services based on the student’s skills, interests and needs.
Local Employment Transition Service
The Local Employment Transition Service (LETS) can help during a retrenchment process.
The LETS team can provide workers and businesses with advice and support. To find out more, contact jobsvictoria.lets@ecodev.vic.gov.au.
